Annotation Software
The Recordex iMMPad is bundled with a powerful on-screen annotation toolbar that can be used to annotate over your computer desktop (I.e. web pages, documents, photos, presentation slides, etc.) The toolbar also allows for easy switching between whiteboard and chalkboard modes. In these modes you can create an unlimited number of white or black slides and annotate over them. Short cut buttons allow for easy power point slide navigation. Advance a slide, annotate the page and even save the annotated page for future reference.
Handwritten Notes
For Windows XP/2000 users the bundled Free Notes and OfficeInk applications allow for inserting handwritten notes into any document which allows image insertion. For example, use the Recordex iMMPad with OfficeInk to sign your name to document, or use to insert a hand drawn image into a document. Free Notes is a simple app for making and saving handwritten notes on your computer.
Tablet PC Features
For Windows Vista users the Recordex iMMPad unlocks the built in features of Windows Vista's Tablet PC functionality. Vista's advanced handwriting recognition (convert handwriting to typed text) service works seamlessly with any application where text input is required. Simply use the Tablet PC Input Panel to handwrite your text, click insert, and the text is converted to ?typed text' and inserted into the active application.
- Use Vista's Sticky Notes program to create virtual sticky notes that you can post to you computer desktop.
- Snipping Tool: Use the Recordex iMMPad with Vista's Snipping Tool to snip full page or any section of a displayed page on your computer and highlight or annotate over the snipped image.
- Third Party Software: The Recordex iMMPad can be used with nearly any third party software program including many leading K-12 interactive curriculum software suites.
